About Rollie Heitz

"I have inherited an exceptionally rich family tradition in winemaking. Coming from a Napa winemaking family, I worked alongside my father Joe Heitz, at our winery renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignons.

In 2000, Sally and I went on to found Midsummer Cellars, which specialised in the production of vineyard designated Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as a wonderful Rosé (my favorite wine to make!).

In 2017, while visiting winemaking friends in Montemolino, the idea of making wine in Umbria was "planted".
